Qualifying Conditions


To qualify as a patient in Arizona, a person must have one of the following qualifying conditions:

  • Cancer
  • Glaucoma
  • Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV)
  • Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS)
  • Hepatitis C
  • Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS)
  • Crohn’s disease
  • Agitation of Alzheimer’s disease
  • A chronic or debilitating disease or condition that causes
    • Cachexia or wasting syndrom
    • Severe and chronic pain
    • Nausea, seizures including epilepsy
    • Severe and persistent muscle spasms including multiple sclerosis
